South Williamsport Kaiden Paulhamus put together a perfect regular season and that tremendous achievement has helped him winning the Sun-Gazette area kicking crown.
Paulhamus, a junior, went a perfect 55 of 55 on extra-point tries, helping South go 8-2. Paulhamus broke Montoursville graduate Ian Plankenhorn’s previous record of perfection when he went 49 of 49 in 2015. He also is just the fourth Sun-Gazette kicker in the 2000s to enjoy a perfect regular season when it comes to extra-points.
Montgomery’s Dylan Sherman played football for the first time this season and finished second with 48 points, kicking two field goals and 42 extra points. Williamsport’s Brayden Ungard tied Cowanesque Valley’s Mason Wonderlich and Hughesville’s Connor Anstadt with an area-high three field goals and was third in points at 40. Loyalsock’s Ethan Boyer (35) and Montoursville’s Brent Crawford (31) rounded out the top five with Muncy’s Nolan Trostle reaching 30.
