Bucknell’s Connell named to All-PL preseason team

LEWISBURG — Bucknell junior Katie Connell was one of 13 players selected to the Preseason All-Patriot League women’s soccer team. This is Connell’s second straight preseason nod, and she was a third-team All-Patriot League honoree following the 2024 season. Connell has recorded five goals in each of her first two collegiate seasons, and she begins the 2026 campaign 10 goals and five assists in her career. Brahmer, Burkle selected for Mackey Award Watch List

STATE COLLEGE — Penn State senior tight end Benjamin Brahmer and redshirt senior tight end Gabe Burkle were tabbed to the John Mackey Award watch list on Wednesday. The John Mackey Award is presented annually to the top tight end in college football. Penn State’s Tyler Warren won the Mackey Award in 2024.
