Lycoming County 14 new COVID-19 cases

Tioga County sees 15 new cases, Clinton 4, Sullivan 1

HARRISBURG- The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed as of 12:00 a.m., October 24, that there were 2,043 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 192,622. Daily increases are now comparable with what we saw in April 2020.

The number of tests administered within the last 7 days between October 17 and October 23 is 232,253 with 11,679 positive cases. There were 38,088 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., October 23.

There are 8,654 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 29 new deaths reported.

The percentage of recovered cases today is 78 percent. Individuals who have recovered is determined using a calculation, similar to what is being done by several other states. If a case has not been reported as a death, and it is more than 30 days past the date of their first positive test (or onset of symptoms) then an individual is considered recovered.

Lycoming County has had 928 positive cases to date, (872 confirmed and 56 probable), 14 new today; Clinton 253 (225 confirmed and 28 probable) 4 new today; Sullivan 18 cases (13 confirmed and 5 probable) one new today and Tioga 188 cases, 155 confirmed and 33 probable) 15 new today

Lycoming County has 13 hospitalized COVID-19 patients, none on ventilators; Montour County 20 patients with 9 on ventilators.
