Hughesville High School to go remote through Jan. 4

Elementary schools will remain in traditional “face to face” instruction.

The following notice was sent to parents from the East Lycoming School District Thursday.

The District has been informed that a student has been deemed "presumed positive" in the Junior/Senior High School. Because this is the fourth case in our "14 day rolling average," the Junior/Senior High School is required to shift to remote learning as part of our approved Pennsylvania Department of Education Continuity of Education Plan. The Junior/Senior High School will shift to remote instruction on December 18th and continue in remote instruction until January 4th. Students can find their class schedule for remote learning on Sapphire as well as in their email.

If you do not have internet access, or need to get your Chromebook, please contact your child's building principal at 570-584-5111.

As in all cases, the Department of Health has been notified and all recommendations are being followed.

This change is only for the Junior/ Senior High school. Elementary schools will remain in traditional "Face to Face" instruction.
