Ex-Williamsport cop gets $10,000 bail

The ex-city cop who is accused of using the police J-NET system to run unauthorized checks on female associates has had his bail decided by a Union County judge.

District Judge Jeffrey Rowe released Eric Derr on $10,000 bail in regard to 28 new charges of the criminal use of a computer, which join three more charges of unsworn falsification to authorities, tampering with public records and obstructing the administration of law.

Derr will appear before Rowe in the Union County Courthouse March 18 at 1 p.m. for an in-person preliminary hearing.
