One man was dead and another in police custody following a shooting that occurred at the Fairlawn Court on Lycoming Creek Road, in Lycoming Township just before 7 p.m. Thursday, Old Lycoming Township police confirmed.

The shooting occurred outside a trailer at the park, which is located at 3605 Lycoming Creek Road, just north of Beautys Run Road.
Police confirmed the victim suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the upper body.
A sheet covered the body as it lay near the public access driveway that runs through the park.
A woman who lives in the park told a reporter that she and her husband heard a single gunshot outside their trailer.
“My husband called 911 and said ‘We heard a shot and there is a man laying behind our house,” the woman said.
More than a dozen families live in the trailer park, the woman, who did not give her name, said.
The gunman and the victim apparently knew one another, the woman said.
Deputy County Coroner Howard Woodruff responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead. The body will be taken to the Forensic Center at UPMC Williamsport, an autopsy will likely be scheduled.
The township police department is consulting with the Lycoming County District Attorney’s Office.
