Today at 11:20 a.m. state police from Troop F, Montoursville responded to a report of gun shots fired into an occupied residence on Ross Road in Cogan Station Township, according to a PSP news release.
At approximately 12:45 p.m. while troopers were still on the scene conducting an investigation, they heard additional gunshots in their direction. They immediately took cover and requested assistance.
Additional resources such as PSP Aviation, Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) and multiple local police departments were requested to the scene.
An arrest warrant was obtained for Nakoma Ross, 21, of Trout Run. At approximately 4:40 p.m. Ross surrendered and was taken into custody.
Ross was charged with four felony counts of Assault of a Law Enforcement Officer, nine felony counts of Aggravated Assault, two felony counts of Discharging a Firearm into Occupied Structure, Recklessly Endangering Another Person (misdemeanor) and Possession of Instrument of a Crime (misdemeanor)
Additional information will be released when the investigation is complete, according to the PSP news release.
