For a decade, River Valley Health and Dental has
positively impacted the health of local residents.
"We have touched the lives and cared for more
than 1 in 8 residents in Lycoming County, many of
whom had limited or no options for care prior to our
opening," said Karla Sexton, compliance officer with
River Valley Health and Dental.
Located at 471 Hepburn St., Williamsport, River
Valley is a non-profit health provider that opens its
arms to all. In addition, there is also a dental clinic in
Jersey Shore at 259 Allegheny Street.
"[We] accept most insurance plans, but regardless
of insurance status, we provide care regardless of
ability to pay," said Sexton.
River Valley provides comprehensive primary care
that includes the following: medical; dental; chiropractic; behavioral health and reproductive health
services.
"A new program, Neighborhood Care Services,
is now taking healthcare to the community. Mobile
units have traveled to outreach locations throughout
the county, providing onsite care," said Sexton.
The health provider has also increased the size of
its 23,000 square foot location.
Sexton explained, "Further expansion is underway
with relocation of our Financial Services offices to
another building in Hepburn Plaza. That brought
increased clinical space to 431 Hepburn, next to the
Express Care walk-in service."
