City police said an 18-year-old man was stabbed at Rural Avenue and Elmira Street about 7:20 p.m. Tuesday.
The victim suffered two stab wounds in the back, police said.
After being assaulted, the victim made his way to a nearby home, and once an ambulance arrived, the victim walked outdoors and got on a stretcher with the help of paramedics. He was taken to UPMC Williamsport. The assailant, also a male, and the victim know one another, police said. Police were looking for the suspect.
