Lycoming County has a new judge, William Carlucci, according to the Lycoming Law Association, who shared the following news release.

Early in 2022, Judge Joy Reynolds McCoy resigned her position as Lycoming County Court of Common Pleas Judge. That resignation, along with the resignation of Judge Mark Lovecchio in 2021. Senior judges have been assisting with the case load during 2022.

Governor Wolf nominated a Lycoming County candidate to fill Judge McCoy’s vacated position, William Carlucci.

Carlucci is a well known Lycoming County lawyer, having practiced in the county for 43 years. Most recently a member of the firm of Elion, Grieco, Carlucci & Shipman, P.C, he previously worked as an assistant district attorney. He is a former president of the Lycoming Law Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

On July 8, 2022, the Pennsylvania Senate confirmed the nomination of Carlucci to the position by a vote of 49-1. He will assume his position in early August.
