Conditional use hearing for former Stevens Primary School to be held

Williamsport City Council will hold a public hearing on an applicant who is planning to transform the former Stevens school building into a multi-residential complex.
Moonrise Acquisitions LLC, 1150 Louisa St., has a conditional-use request in place to convert the former elementary (primary) school into multi-family dwelling units with office space.
This request is in accordance with the multi-family dwellings with the R2 residential zoning district requiring a conditional use, according to Gary Knarr, city code and zoning administrator.
These plans are on file at the Bureau of Codes office and viewable during normal business hours.
The hearing will be done as part of the by council which convenes at 7 p.m. Feb. 29 at Trade and Transit II building and on digital format using YouTube for remote access.
