Chick-fil-A ‘actively pursuing’ a Muncy location

Chick-fil-A Inc. has confirmed they are looking at a Muncy area location for a new restaurant.

“While we are still early in the process, Chick-fil-A is happy to share that we are actively pursuing a new location in Muncy, Pennsylvania,” according to Chick-fil-A Inc.

That proposed location is in Lycoming Crossing Shopping Center in Muncy Township, next to the Starbucks, according to a Muncy Township official.

“We look forward to working through the approval process with the community and are excited by the prospect of joining this neighborhood. We hope to have the opportunity to serve new guests delicious food in an environment of genuine hospitality.

A Chick-fil-A restaurant is currently under construction on Maynard Street, next to the recently opened Wawa.

Each locally owned and operated restaurant creates 80 to 120 jobs, according to Chick-fil-A Inc.

Chick-fil-A now operates over 3,000 restaurants in the U.S.
