City man charged with criminal trespass after allegedly entering home through window

Corey Lamar Hughes, 36, of 809 Sheridan St., Apt. 9D, city, has been charged with criminal trespass after he illegally entered the home of a female acquaintance in the 2400 block of Dove Street on Sept. 9, 2025, according to court documents.

The alleged victim was home alone when she heard a noise coming from her kitchen, and upon checking on the source of the noise, she allegedly discovered Hughes opening her kitchen window, she told police.

She immediately called 9-1-1 as Hughes allegedly crawled through the window, fleeing out of the front door after hearing the emergency dispatcher.

Hughes never lived at the address and was not welcome there on the date of the invasion, an affidavit notes.

Hughes was arraigned by District Judge Aaron Biichle and remanded to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $28,000 bail.
