Much of Newberry and parts of Old Lycoming Township were without electrical service for about an hour when a power line snapped and came down on two vehicles in the 2200 block of Hillside Drive about 8 a.m. Saturday, according to city fire officials.
It was unknown what cause the power line to snap. A PPL crew was on the scene making the necessary repairs.
Service was restored to most customers by 9:15 a.m., however there may be as many as two dozen still without service as of 9:40 a.m.
