Firefighters respond to two-alarm house fire in Lycoming Township
Volunteer firefighters were battling a two-alarm house fire Wednesday night in the 700 block of Maple Spring Road in Lycoming Township.
Smoke was visible when firefighters arrived on the scene about 7:40 p.m.
The property is between Beautys Run Road and Almost Country Road.
Firefighters from Hepburn Township, Old Lycoming Township, Trout Run, Montoursville responded on the inital alarm
The second alarm was struck at 8 p.m., bringing to the scene additional manpower and equipment from Loyalsock Township, Eldred Township, Nisbet, DuBoistown, Ralston and Jersey Shore.
The fire was declared under control at 8:15 p.m., and a state police fire marshal will be investigating the cause of the blaze.
