Several facing charges in unrelated incidents
South Williamsport man allegedly exposed himself in front of woman’s Ring camera
Wearing only a pair of sneakers with a white towel or blanket draped over his shoulders, South Williamsport resident Nolan Fletcher Morse stood in front of a Ring security camera outside a home on Lake Road in Gamble Township and touched his private area about 2:15 a.m. on July 13, state police alleged in an affidavit. Before walking away, Morse, 27, looked into the camera and smiled, police said. His actions alerted the homeowner, who called police after viewing the video that showed a naked man on her back porch, the court document stated. The homeowner suspected the man was Morse, and when a trooper compared the video image with Morse’s driver’s license photo, it was a match, police. Morse, of 1827 Riverside Drive, has been charged with indecent exposure and loitering. He has since waived his preliminary hearing before District Judge Gary Whiteman and released on $20,000 bail.
Morse was charged in 2022 with indecent exposure when, while wearing nothing but black socks, attempted to have contact with a female jogger in the 1800 block of Lake Road, where he was living at the time, police said. Days after this incident, two other people spotted Morse standing naked near a boat launch at nearby Rose Valley Lake.
Two women charged with theft in separate cases
Ryianne Hockenberry, 44, of 20 Harvest Moon Park, Linden, has been charged with theft after she is alleged to have stolen $470 from the 220 Eatery Gas Station, 7458 Route 220, in Woodward Township while employed there in late June, according to state police. Hockenberry, who has since been terminated, denied taking the money, police said. A bench warrant for her arrest was expected to be filed after she failed to appear for her preliminary hearing. Following the hearing, District Judge Denise Dieter held her for court on both misdemeanor charges.
In another case, Betty Jane Buck, 46, of 3635 Dewey Ave. Extension, Cogan Station, has been charged with theft, receiving stolen property and theft of lost property after allegedly stealing $340 from a wallet belonging to another woman who accidentally left it in a bathroom at the Weis Market, 1916 Lycoming Creek Road on Aug. 9, Lycoming Regional police stated in an affidavit. When questioned by police, Buck admitted to taking the money, according to the court document. She has waived her preliminary hearing before District Judge Kirsten Gardner and is free on $5,000 bail.
State police charge city man with defiant trespassing
Even though he had been repeatedly told he was prohibited from being on the premises, Ashaune Allen returned again and again to the Quality Inn-Candlewood Suits-TGI Fridays complex on East Third Street in Loyalsock Township between Aug. 1 and Sept. 13, acting as a guest or an employee, “using toiletries” and helping himself to food that was for guests only, state police alleged in an affidavit. During the six-week period, Allen, 29, of 1062 Vine Ave., had been caught “sleeping in common areas as well as private areas such as utility closets,” it was stated in the court document. On one occasion, when he was seen approaching the office at TGI Fridays, Allen was ordered to leave, but he was later found in a bathroom there, police said.
At the time, the business was closed, police added. It was alleged that Allen used an estimated $200 worth of complimentary toiletries and other items that were just for guests at the Quality Inn-Candlewood Suits, the affidavit stated. Charged with theft and three counts of defiant trespassing, Allen has been arraigned before Whiteman and is free on $5,000 bail.
Habitual shoplifter charged yet again with same offense
Tymen Donald Watts, 40, of 4204 Route 87, Montoursville, who has been arrested more than a half a dozen times for shoplifting, has been arrested yet again on one felony count of the same offense for allegedly stealing $470 worth of merchandise from Giant, 1969 E. Third St., on July 5, state police said. Watts has since waived his preliminary hearing before Whiteman and is free on $10,000 bail.
Montoursville man faces felony charge for illegally entering woman’s home
Corey Oliver, 33, of 227 Church Alley, Montoursville, has been jailed on a felony charge of trespassing after he entered a woman’s home without her permission in the 600 block of Spruce Street on the morning of Aug. 9, city police alleged in a court document. Oliver nearly reached the victim’s second-floor bedroom before she confronted him, police said. Arraigned before Dieter, Oliver remains locked up in the county prison in lieu of $75,000 bail. He has since waived his preliminary hearing.
He was charged last year by Montoursville police with allegedly exposing himself to a female ride share driver on Sept. 6, according to court records. Four months later, on Jan. 9, Oliver left a woman “emotionally distressed” after following her along Broad Street, alleged borough police, who charged him with stalking and prowling.
