First responders in South Williamsport pulled three kayakers out of the Susquehanna River Saturday night near Sylvan Dell Road in South Williamsport.

“We had to go and throw ropes to rescue them with throw bags and brought them to shore, said Kevin Hurne, platoon chief with the Williamsport Bureau of Fire.

All first responders were accounted for and okay, Hurne added.

The three kayakers were loaded into ambulances and transported to the hospital. Full story to come.
