Assault, vandalism among charges lodged in Lycoming County district courts
Woman allegedly threw ‘every tool in the toolbox’ at boyfriend
Believing that her boyfriend was being unfaithful, Chelsie Lynn Glouse “threw every tool in the toolbox at him and then proceeded to strike him in the back of the head with a hammer” during a disturbance at the couple’s Brady Township home at 15 Ikes Drive on Friday afternoon, state police alleged in an affidavit. When troopers arrived on the scene, they noticed injuries on the boyfriend’s arms and hands as well as the back of his head, the court document stated. He was taken by ambulance to UPMC Williamsport to get medical treatment, police said. The 31-year-old Glouse initially told police that there was “no physical contact” between her and the boyfriend, but then admitted to assaulting him, police said. Following her arraignment before District Judge Gary Whiteman on charges of aggravated and simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, possession of an instrument of crime and harassment, Glouse, who was arrested at the scene, was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
‘Deplorable conditions’ in apartment lead to felony charge against city woman
When city police walked into Beth Ann Gosnay’s apartment at 412 Third Ave. on Sunday afternoon, they found it to be in “deplorable condition,” according to an affidavit. In the home were three children ranging in ages 3-months to 2 years old. The 3-month-old was in a crib swing in a bedroom, and “there were piles of trash surrounding the crib. The trash was moldy and had clearly been there for an extended period of time. There were numerous different kinds of bugs crawling and flying around the trash and the crib,” it was stated in the court document. “The living room was in a similar state as the bedroom,” an officer said in the affidavit. “There were many used diapers littering not only the living room, but also the hallway and other rooms,” the officer said. Gosnay, 41, told police “that she had recently cleaned the apartment,” it was stated in the court document. Officers had been called to the home to investigate a disturbance. The children were placed in the protective custody of the county’s Children and Youth Department. Arraigned before District Judge William Solomon on a felony charge of endangering the welfare of children, Gosnay was jailed in lieu of $15,000 bail.

Released convicted sex offender back behind bars
Upon being released from the state Correctional Institution at Greene on Dec. 4, 2024, convicted sex offender Brandon Lee Davis was due to report to a transitional living center on West Edwin Street in the city, according to city police. However, the 31-year-old man absconded from state parole and fled to Gibsonville, North Carolone, just east of Greensboro, where he is believed to have lived until he was arrested last Feb. 25. He was arraigned Thursday before Frey on a felony charge of failure to register his new address with the state police as he is required to do so by law within three business days. Initially jailed in county prison in lieu of $95,000 bail, Davis has since been transferred to a state prison facility.
