Two retail developments are exploring locations in Loyalsock Township.
For those who love books and gifts, a Books-A-Million, also known as BAM, has expressed an intention to occupy commercial space at the site of the former Party City, 1738 E. Third St. in the TJ Maxx Plaza, said Bill Burdett, township manager.
BAM was one of the last remaining tenants of the former Lycoming Mall now under development as The District by Famvest, the real estate development firm working on bringing a Bass Pro to the former Best Buy building and further developing the former mall property in Muncy Township.
In Loyalsock Township, a Wing Stop operator also has inquired with the township zoning officer about the township sign ordinance, which is a good sign that one will be located in the township, Burdett said.
One potential location for the Wing Stop is the open space at the former Venice Pizza, 1875 E. Third St. Venice Pizza is open and serving customers at its new location at 701 Northway Road.
