City man recovering after Saturday night rollover crash in Lycoming Township

A 44-year-old Williamsport man is recovering from injuries he suffered Saturday night when he lost control of his Volkswagen that crashed into a guardrail and overturned in the median of Route 15, near the Route 973 West overpass, in Lycoming Township, according to Lycoming Regional police.

The first officers on the scene successfully removed the driver from the vehicle about 9:15 p.m. He was taken by ambulance to UPMC Williamsport for medical treatment, police said, adding that the driver was not wearing a seat belt.

Firefighters from Hepburn Township and Trout Run responded.

The investigation into the crash was ongoing, police said.
