Jonathan Brian Smith, 35, formerly of 1507 High St., Williamsport, has been charged with simple assault and harassment for striking his brother with a chair during a disturbance at the home they shared on June 27, city police alleged in an affidavit. The brother was treated at UPMC Williamsport for a broken arm. Smith, who has since moved to another local address, was arraigned before Frey and released on $25,000 bail.
