State troopers forced to use tasers three times on Hughesville man during assault

After exposing himself to a neighbor along Beaver Lake Road in Penn Township during the early morning hours of July 3, Nathan Allen Minier fought with three state troopers, “tackling one into a brick wall” and then striking a second one with a small wooden chair, it was alleged in an affidavit. At the time, Minier was completely naked as he was when he exposed himself to his neighbor, the court document stated. The troopers had to deploy their tasers a total of three to get him under control, police said. During the bail-hearing portion of his arraignment before District Judge Christian Frey, the 46-year-old Minier refused to answer any of the judge’s questions that are routine for all such proceedings. Minier, who has addresses at 3745 Beaver Lake Road, Hughesville, as well as at 1383 Fairview Road, Unityville, was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, indecent exposure, disorderly conduct and loitering. He was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $60,000 bail.
