Q: Why are the medicare cards changing and when will this take effect? A: Your new Medicare card is coming. Mailings will begin this April and cards will be mailed out over the next year through April 2019. The new cards, which are replacing your current cards, will no longer list your social security number. You will now be assigned a unique number, which will better protect you from identity theft. In February 2016, STEP, Inc. and Artpost Awareness embarked on a drawing journey with a group of 17 senior citizens at STEP’s Clinton County Community Center. Since then, the group has grown and gained momentum — enough that classes recently have extended to STEP Office of Aging’s RiverWalk Center in South Williamsport. STEP delivers to Santa’s Seniors

“Thank you to the ones with special hands who made this for me.” That sort of heartfelt refrain was echoed by many recipients of the Santa’s Seniors boxes that came with their delivered meals just before Christmas.
