Animals find their furever homes in local senior communities

Two cats, Virgil and Goliath from the Animal Care Sanctuary, were brought to AristaCare, a rehabilitation center in Montoursville to live with the residents in their new furever home. Rosemary Wiegand, medical director, contacted Animal Care Sanctuary about cats, as one of the resident cats had passed away. The Animal Care Sanctuary sent pictures and biographies to AristaCare and the residents chose Virgil and Goliath. Master gardeners return to STEP RiverWalk Center

The third annual Get the Dirt on Gardening, held by STEP’s RiverWalk Center, 423 E. Central Ave., South Williamsport, and Penn State Extension Master Gardeners, is a free program for seniors age 60 and older interested in gardening and sharing — or growing — their gardening knowledge and experiences.
