William E. and Doris L. Messersmith, of Montoursville, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 17, 2020. They were married in First Presbyterian Church, Northumberland, by Rev. Edward Myers. Mr. Messersmith is the son of the late Clarence and Verona Messersmith. He graduated from Danville High School in 1955 and Penn State in 1960. Rev. James and Janice Sunderland, of Montoursville, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on June 28. They were married in 1980 at Bethel United Methodist Church in Montoursville by Rev. Montoursville couple celebrate 25 years

Eric and Krista Wise, of Montoursville, celebrated 25 years of marriage on July 8. They were wed by Revs. Brand Eaton and Gerald Krum at First United Methodist Church, Williamsport, while surrounded by friends and family. The two began their love story at Lock Haven University when Krista bought a pretzel from Eric’s Chemistry Club stand. Krista is a learning support teacher at Montoursville Area High School, and Eric is a qualified supervisor of Raw Materials at Merck and Co. They have two daughters, Mackenzie and Zoe.

Couple observes 65th summer anniversary

Donald W. and Esther L. (Chestnut) Karschner celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on June 24, 2020. Donald is a retired self-employed carpenter and Esther is retired from Primus Technologies. They enjoy traveling, gardening, bike riding and camping. They are the parents of two daughters, Jill Shafer, of Harrisburg, and Joy Packard, of Jersey Shore; and one granddaughter.
