“Graphic Design 2024” opens April 24 at The Gallery at Penn College and runs through May 3. Athletic director seeks change to activity fee cost in Jersey Shore

JERSEY SHORE — Student athletes in the Jersey Shore Area School District who opt to play more than one sport pay $40 for each season, a cost that Athletic Director William Mincer thinks is too high and wants to see reduced. “I think it’s a lot of money to pay $120 for a student who plays three sports,” Mincer told the school board at their recent meeting. “We don’t have a tremendous amount of three sport athletes…but I think to be honest with you, $120 is cost prohibitive to do that for a public high school.
