Montoursville couple reaches 60-year mark

Dick and Carol Everett, of Montoursville, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on August 7, 2025. They were married at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Montoursville on August 7, 1965.
Carol was born in New York City and moved to Montoursville her sophomore year in high school where she met her future husband. She graduated from Montoursville High School in 1961. Carol worked at Grit Publishing before becoming a mother. After many years as a homemaker and stay at home mom, she worked at UPMC Williamsport. Carol is the daughter of the late Joseph and Blanche Opetosky.
Dick was born and raised on Loyalsock Avenue in Montoursville and graduated from Montoursville High School in 1960. He was employed by Avco-Lycoming for 21 years and by Stroehmanns for 21 years. He retired in 2004. Dick is an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoys much of his free time outdoors enjoying nature. He is the son of the late Deavor and Blanche Everett.
Dick and Carol are the parents of Lisa (Daren) of Lancaster, Richard (deceased), and Randy, of Montoursville. They have 3 grandchildren – Connor, Ryan and Lauren.
