VARIOUS TIMES
• The Clinton County Women’s Center, a nonprofit agency that provides services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence, is looking for people in the community who would be willing to complete a free, 65 hour training to become a volunteer counselor/advocate at the organization.
Training is scheduled to start the end of September. Anyone interested can contact the shelter at 570-748-9539.
• MIFFLINBURG — The Herr Memorial Library, 500 Market St., will hold the A.B.C. Play With Me parent and child workshop at 10 a.m. starting Wednesday and Saturday. The five week program is for children ages 12 to 14 months and their parents or caregivers.

TODAY
• WELLSBORO — The Canyon Pilots Association’s All You Can Eat Fly-In Breakfast will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at the Wellsoro-Johnston Airport, 112 Runway Road.
Canyon Aero LLC will provide airplane rides for a cost. Members of the Canyon Ultralight Club and the Mountain Modelaires R/C Airplane Club of Wellsboro also will have a display.
A radio controlled flight simulator will be available to try and members will fly small electric helicopters, airplanes and quadcopters.
There is a donation required for breakfast, with discounts available for children ages 3-8 and children 2 and under eat free.
MONDAY
• The 16th annual Run/Walk For Your Heart will be held Sept. 4 at the Health Innovation Center, 740 High St. Registration will be held from 7:30-9 a.m. and the race will begin at 9 a.m.
Proceeds will benefit the Heart and Vascular Institute at UPMC Susquehanna. There is an entry fee to participate.

• LEWISBURG — The Public Library for Union County, 255 Reitz Blvd., will hold Toddler Discover at 9:30 a.m. for children 3 to 5 years old and their parents or caregivers.
The library also will hold Preschool Discover at 10 a.m. for children ages 3 to 5 and their parents or caregivers. Registration is required.
A third activity, Mah Jongg, also will be held at 1 p.m. at the library.

• MIFFLINBURG — The Herr Memorial Library, 500 Market St., will host the Special Stitches knitting group 10 a.m. All skill levels are welcome.

• LEWISBURG — The Public Library for Union County, 255 Reitz Blvd., will hold Zen Meditation at 10 a.m. Join Zen meditation leader Ed Oberholtzer and explore the practice of zazen, which uses Koan introspection. Registration is required.
The library also will hold will hold What’s the big idea? from 6-7 p.m. A STEM program that uses stories to focus on science and math skills for pre-K and kindergarten children and their families. This month’s theme is “More than Counting.” Registration is requested but walk-ins are welcome.

Rachel Ludovico will offer a sample class to parents interested in the Music Together program. Class size is limited to 15. If there is enough interest, a second class will be held at 11:15 a.m. the same day.

• MILTON — The annual Milton Harvest Festival’s 28-mile bike race will be held at 9:30 a.m. There is a cost to register, which will be held from 7-9 a.m. at the Municipal Building, 2 Filbert St. Discounts are available for those who register by noon Thursday.

• JERSEY SHORE — The 18th annual craft show will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1407 Allegheny St. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Attendees should enter at the Glover St. entrance.
• Blue Star Mothers of America North Central Chapter PA 12 has partnered with the 327th Quartermaster Battalion Family Readiness Group to host the inaugural Patriot 5K Color Walk/Run to honor those who served, or have served our country and those lost on 9/11. The event will be held at 9 a.m. at the Armed Forces Reserve Center, 1307 Grove St. Event registration will be at 7 a.m.
