Potter County museum to host event

The Pennsylvania Lumber Museum will hold its annual Spring Show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., April 18 and 19.
According to a news release, antique vendors will be on-hand at the Ulysses Township museum selling a variety of items like furniture, glassware, coins, books, clothing, and collectibles. On April 18 only, visitors can watch the museum’s re-created 19th century steam-powered circular sawmill in action as well as demonstrations of log skidding with horses.
All weekend long the site’s Eastern Loggers model railroad display and birch still will be operating. Museum volunteers will be cooking on the historic logging camp stove and providing visitors with tastings featuring wild leeks from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days, along with a wild leek harvest at 1:30 p.m. April 18 and at 11 a.m., April 19. Local craft vendors will be set up outside, and food will be available on-site for purchase.
Access to all museum exhibits and attractions is included in the price of admission to the show, the news release said.
