Library plans for hands-on learning

The Lycoming County Library System libraries, in partnership with Intermediate 17, will host a total of 22 hands-on learning programs through pre-selected themes of Arts, Maker, Outdoor Learning, Science, Technology, and Youth Voice from May 2-22. As a result of this partnership, several libraries within the Lycoming County Library System also received mini-grants to provide these programs. The James V. Brown Library, 19 E. Fourth St., will host two history programs in April. The first is a hybrid program called “Presentations with Pizzazz” from 6-6:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 9. Museum to offer kids’ clay workshops

The Lewisburg Children’s Museum will host Ellen Jamiolkowski as an artist-in-residence in partnership with the Perry County Council of the Arts for a series of workshops called Hands in Clay. According to a news release, workshops for elementary-age children are available on April 13, 20, and 27, 2 to 4 p.m. with participants returning on May 4 to decorate their projects.
