LEWISBURG – According to a press release, the Weis Center for the Performing Arts at Bucknell University will wrap up its 2025-26 season with world music ensemble Orchestra of Indigenous Instruments and New Technologies at 7:30 p.m. on April 17.
Hailed as a shamanic orchestra for a technological age, the Orchestra of Indigenous Instruments and New Technologies brings to life long forgotten indigenous instruments.
Its show “Hidden Sounds of the Americas” is a musical journey across the continent that blends traditional music and contemporary works.
“Through an immersive audiovisual experience, the performance melds ancient sounds to cutting-edge technology, featuring replicas of pre-Hispanic instruments alongside indigenous masks and dances,” the press release said.
Tickets can be reserved by calling 570-577-1000 or online at Bucknell.edu/BoxOffice. Tickets are also available in person at the Weis Center lobby and the CAP Center Box Office.
