“Sir Gawain and the Green Knight” is a 14th-century narrative poem set in the Arthurian age. One of my all-time favorite books, it tells of a brave and noble warrior on a likely-fatal quest — but no one knows who wrote it. If that anonymous poet could see the new film version of his work, I suspect he’d be glad his name is not attached. Foundation gives grant to music school

The Uptown Music Collective, the area’s premier nonprofit school of music, has received an award in the amount of $26,954 from the First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania. The allocation, which represents a grant from the Williamsport Lycoming Community Fund, is to be used for curriculum recording and streaming equipment, as well as upgrades to computers and software for staff.
