Women’s theater group to offer director’s workshop

This Saturday, June 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Hamilton-Gibson Women’s Project is holding a free, in-person three-hour Woodpecker Lips Director’s Workshop indoors at the Warehouse Theatre, 3 Central Ave., Wellsboro. “There’s plenty of room so anyone who wants to attend can. Kevin Connelly, executive director, has announced that the Deane Center for the Performing Arts, 104 Main St., Wellsboro and the Wellsboro Community Concert Association are hosting a series of free, live outdoor concerts on Fridays in July, August and into September on the Deane Center’s outdoor stage on the Central Avenue side of the building. Museum program explains traditional egg-decorating technique

The Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society will host a program at 2 p.m., June 20 featuring Catheal Weiser, an artist and good friend of the museum. According to a news release, Weiser will talk about the time-honoured craft of Pysanky, based on the traditional decorating of Easter eggs by use of a wax-resist method. Weiser will also have some of her pysanky eggs for sale. The program is part of a series of lectures which focus on demonstrations.
