Former Montoursville resident faces felony voting charge

Karl Hoebener Jr., 57, of Cedar Park, Texas, has been charged by the Lycoming County District Attorney Office with the felony repeat voting at elections for allegedly voting twice on the same day in the November, 2020 General Election, according to an affidavit.

Investigators allege that Hoebener voted on Nov. 3, 2020, first at a school in Dutchess County, New York, and then again at a polling place on Elm Street in Montoursville, court papers stated. At the time, Hoebener actually carried a mailing address in the 1100 block of Cherry St. in Montoursville, investigators said.

Hoebener first denied, but then admitted that he had indeed voted once in New York State and later the same day in Montoursville, the affidavit stated. He recently waived his preliminary hearing before District Judge Gary Whiteman and is free on $5,000 bail.

Starting at $2.99/week.
