Three charged with drug offenses in separate cases
When city police raided Craig Laubach’s basement apartment at 1229 Park Ave. on Dec. 16, 2020, they seized six grams of methamphetamines and three alprazolam pills, according to an affidavit. Two days before police executed the search warrant at the apartment, Laubach, 29, sold from his apartment .81 grams of methamphetamines and seven alprazolam pills to an informant, police alleged. Following his arraignment before District Judge Christian Frey on two counts each of delivery of a controlled substance and conspiracy and one count of illegal use of cellphone, Laubach was released on $50,000 bail.
In another case, Dallas M. Grove II, 34, of 840 Poplar St., has been charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and related offenses after he was caught throwing five bags of heroin while city police officers were chasing him near West Fourth and Diamond streets about 6 p.m. on May 11, court records stated. Grove was apprehended and the bags of drugs were quickly recovered, police said. Following his arraignment before Solomon, he was initially jailed, but has since been released on $125,000 bail
In another case, Stevannah Rae Helminiak, 32, of 725 Sylvan Drive, South Williamsport, has been charged by city police with possession of crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia at West Fourth and Rose streets on Nov. 7, according to court records. She is free on $10,000 bail.
