Two-story residence catches fire in Brady Township

Clinton Township and area firefighters rushed to a two-story residence at the end of narrow Riverwood Road in Brady Township Sunday afternoon to a fire at the residence.

Clinton Township Volunteer Fire Chief Todd Winder was first to respond to the house fire at 453 Riverwood Road in Brady Township about 3 p.m.

The residents were outside and the fire which began in the chimney area had extended to the attic.

The working box fire required a tanker truck to position itself to draw water from a nearby pond.

The house is situated close to the West Branch of the Susquehanna River.

Access for fire companies was from Cemetery Hill Road. Fire police officers were stationed at the intersection of Cemetery Hill Road and Riverwood Road.

Further information, such as the owner of the house, was not immediately available by press time.
