Clinton Township woman faces assault-related charges

Summer Rain Deitrick, 21, of 41 Ross Road, Montgomery, has been arrested after she forced her way into a man’s Muncy area home at 217 Chestnut St. and assaulted a woman who was in the house by punching her in the face about 3 a.m. on April 19, state police alleged in an affidavit. When the man chased after Deitrick, she turned and punched him in the face as well before fleeing the scene in her vehicle, it was alleged in the court document. It all started with Dietrick arriving at the property, screaming loudly and “repeatedly honking her car horn,” police said. Deitrick was told multiple times to leave, but she refused, police said. When her attempts failed to get to the backyard, where the man was entertaining guests, Deitrick went to the front of the house and kicked in a door to get in the house, police alleged. Following her arraignment the next day before District Judge Gary Whiteman on felony charges of burglary and trespassing as well as misdemeanor defiant trespassing, two counts of simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment, Deitrick was briefly incarcerated at the county prison, but has since been released on $10,000 bail.
