Numerous state troopers were on hand Friday night as they executed two search warrants at separate homes, a half a block apart, on Fifth Avenue in the city.

The homes were just south of Park Avenue. Trooper Lauren Lesher, a state police spokeswoman, confirmed the warrants – approved by a district judge – stemmed from a 2023 homicide case, but no other details were released Friday.

More information may be made public once the searches are completed unless the warrants are ordered sealed by a judge.
