Additional felony sex charges have been lodged against Donnell Robert Edwards, 35, of 645 Hepburn St.,. Williamsport, who was arraigned Wednesday afternoon before District Judge William Solomon, according to city police. He now faces five counts of sexual abuse of children for possessing videos that contained “child sexual-abuse material” that were recently discovered on his cellphone, police alleged in a court document. The child pornography images were found after investigators had obtained a search warrant to go through Edwards’ cellphone. He was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.

At the time of his arrest on these charges, Edwards was free on bail for sex offenses city police filed in mid-March. In the original case, he allegedly solicited a 15-year-old girl to perform sexual favors for him in exchange for marijuana during a six-week period beginning in early November.
