Second Jersey Shore person arrested in fake check-cashing scheme

Brittany Standridge, 32, of 122 Spruce St., Jersey Shore has been charged with theft-related offenses for using a bogus check that she cashed for $544 at Lingle’s Family Market on Nov. 26, Lycoming County Regional police alleged in an affidavit. She has been charged with theft, receiving stolen property, theft by deception and forgery. Arraigned before District Judge Denise Dieter, Standridge was initially jailed, but has since been released on $20,000. She has waived her preliminary hearing as has Kyle M. 39, of 427 Cemetery St., who was charged earlier for his alleged involvement in the scam. He is now free on $15,000 bail.
