Linden area man arrested yet again for shoplifting

Soon after fleeing the Sheetz store on Route 220 in Woodward Township on June 26 with a six pack of beer which he allegedly did not pay for, Jonathan Tindell was spotted by a state topper “stumbling” on nearby South Pine Run Road, it was stated in an affidavit. Appearing “highly intoxicated,” Tindell admitted to the trooper that he “had been drinking a lot today,” the affidavit stated. In the backpack Tindell had with him, the trooper discovered four of the six stolen beers, police said. It turned out that Tindell, 47, of Linden, had already been convicted four times of shoplifting, police said. Arraigned that day before District Judge Denise Dieter on charges of felony shoplifting, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, Tindell remains jailed in the county prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Starting at $2.99/week.
