Montoursville woman arrested twice in month for alleged drug possession

Bailey Marie Powell, 27, of 1980 Walters Road, Montoursville has been charged with two counts each of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, after state police took her into custody twice, a month apart, an affidavit said.

Called to Powell’s residence by a witness on March 12, 2025, police allegedly observed a clear bag with a white powdery substance and a hypodermic needle in the bathroom of the home.

Powell appeared to be under the influence, and admitted to injecting what she believed to be methamphetamine after finding it in her bedroom.

One month later, state police were summoned to a motel in the 2800 block of Old Montoursville Road, for assistance with supervised bail.

Upon arrival, police were informed by a bail supervisor that Powell was allegedly under the influence of narcotics, and in possession of a partially loaded hypodermic needle, court documents said.

Powell allegedly admitted the needle contained fentanyl.

She was arraigned on both sets of charges by District Judge Gary Whiteman, and released on $5,000 bail.

Starting at $2.99/week.
