Man sent to hospital after dump truck crash in Limestone Township

The driver of a tri-axle dump truck was being treated at UPMC Williamsport for injuries he suffered when the vehicle went off Route 654 and landed on its side in a drainage culvert, about a quarter mile east of Route 44 in Limestone Township about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to state police.

State police identified the driver as Jeffrey McKeag, 28, of the Williamsport area. The highway remained closed until early Wednesday afternoon. The state Department of Transportation detoured motorists away from the crash scene

McKeag was pinned in the wreckage for a short period of time. Once extricated, he was loaded into an ambulance and taken to the hospital.
