A motorcyclist, believed to be from Clinton County, was being treated at UPMC Williamsport for serious injuries he suffered when he crashed on Route 44, near Lorson Road, just south of Collomsville about 6 p.m. Saturday, state police said. Traveling north with three other motorcyclists, the victim lost control on a curve and went off the two-lane road, police said.

“He initallly was unresponsive, but he was alert and awake when he was put in the back of an ambulance,” a patrol supervisor said at the scene.

Nippenose Valley volunteer firefighters and paramedics from Jersey Shore also responded to the accident.
