Armstrong Township man charged felony firearms charge

While investigating a domestic disturbance at Jeremy Benjamin Brown’s home at 92 Chadlee Drive in Armstrong Township on the afternoon of Sept. 23, state troopers saw in plain view a rifle leaning against a wall inside the property, it was stated in an affidavit. Due to a criminal conviction, Brown, 40, is prohibited from possessing firearms, police said. The troopers obtained a search warrant which was promptly executed, resulting in the rifle being seized, police said. Charged with one felony count of illegal possession of a firearm, Brown was arraigned before District Judge Kirsten Gardner and released on $25,000 bail.
