Man declines treatment for minor injury after crash in Loyalsock Township

After crashing his pickup truck into this rocky embankment on Log Run Road, just west of Bloomingrove Road, in Loyalsock Township about 2:10 p.m. Wednesday, the driver texted 911 on his cellphone to summon help, according to emergency responders. Dispatched as a “crash notification” emergency, township and South Williamsport firefighters responded on the call. The young driver, briefly trapped in the truck, managed to climbed out of the wreckage on his own before firefighters reached the scene, according to emergency responders. He declined treatment for a minor head injury. State police were investigating the cause of the crash.
