South Williamsport woman allegedly assaulted several police officers

When she was told by another resident in her South Williamsport home that police officers were outside at the front of the house waiting to talk with her on the night of July 29, Lilly Isabel Lee bolted out the back door half naked, according to an affidavit filed by borough police. However, when two officers confronted her out back and tried to take her into custody, she put up a struggle, it was alleged in the court document. A third officer was needed to get control of her, police said. Three city police officers, along with borough police, responded to the home at 2091 Riverside Drive after being told that the 27-year-old woman, who was wanted on several city police warrants, was inside the house, the affidavit stated. A fourth city police officer along with a state trooper were dispatched after she tried to flee, the court document stated.

Once out front, Lee put up a second struggle, this one more intense by kicking three officers in the chest, biting two others and attempting to bite yet a third while spitting in the face of one of the officers, it was alleged. She was automatically placed in the Lycoming County Prison on the outstanding warrants. No information was available Thursday night on those cases.

Lee was arraigned last week before District Judge Gary Whiteman on numerous felony charges stemming from her alleged combative behavior in late July, including five counts of aggravated assault, two counts of assault on a law enforcement officer, one count of attempted aggravated assault plus two misdemeanors, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. She has since waived her preliminary hearing and remains jailed in the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $15,000 bail.

Starting at $2.99/week.
