The 300 block of North Main Street in Jersey Shore was closed for more than 90 minutes Thursday after a tractor-trailer truck took out a Verizon utility pole as its driver was attempting to make a U-turn about 12:30 p.m. Thursday, according to Lycoming Regional police. No one was injured, police said. The driver was initially heading into the borough, but then attempted a U-turn, police said. Verizon employees were on the scene making the necessary repairs.
