Williamsport Bureau of Fire firefighters rushed to extinguish a kitchen fire on the first floor of a duplex at 1419 Scott St. at 11:46 p.m. Monday. The fire spread to the kitchen cabinets of the structure, according to fire personnel Tuesday at fire headquarters on Walnut Street. Electricity was cut off at the scene by PPL. Firefighters remained on the scene for about one hour and 15 minutes.
