The driver of this Mercedes Benz escaped injury, but the car was demolished when it crashed into the back of another vehicle, whose driver had stopped for a dog in the road at Route 44 and Furnace Run Road in Watson Township about 10:20 a.m. Monday, according to officials with the Citizens Hose Company of Jersey Shore. The other driver was taken by ambulance to Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital to be treated for their injuries. State police investigated the crash.
